Pasqua has been bottling wine out of Verona since 1925, long enough to have made Pinot Grigio for several generations of people who simply wanted a cold glass of white. This is that wine, made properly: unshowy, well balanced, and reliable enough to buy by the case without a second thought.
Crisp green apple and pear with lemon zest and a dry mineral finish. There is no oak here and none is wanted. Serve it thoroughly chilled with antipasti, grilled shrimp, light pasta or nothing at all. The default white for a warm evening on a porch.
