Product Description
Patrón Ahumado takes the reposado in an unexpected direction, roasting a portion of the agave over mesquite before fermentation so the smoke is built into the spirit rather than borrowed from a barrel. The result reads somewhere between tequila and mezcal without abandoning either. A genuinely novel bottle from a house better known for consistency.
Wood smoke and roasted agave up front, then caramel, dried chile and a warm peppery finish earned in oak. Sip it neat to follow the smoke, or use it to give a Paloma or a smoky margarita real depth. For the drinker who already keeps mezcal on the shelf.
