Patron made its name on method: roller-milled and tahona-crushed agave, small copper pot stills, and small-batch fermentation in the Jalisco highlands. The Anejo is where that care compounds, resting in a combination of American and French oak for more than a year until the agave and the wood stop arguing and start agreeing.
Vanilla, dried fruit, honey and toasted oak sit over a cooked-agave core, with light peppery spice and a finish that is warm and softly sweet. Sip it neat in a copita, or over one large cube after dinner. It also makes an unusually good Old Fashioned, if you are inclined to spend the tequila that way.
