Product Description
Peay farms on the far western edge of Sonoma, close enough to the Pacific that fog and wind do most of the work of restraint. Fruit from that cold ground ripens slowly and holds its acid, which is why the estate has become a reference point for growers chasing elegance instead of weight. This is Pinot Noir made with patience and very little makeup.
In the glass it leans red-fruited and savory: cranberry and wild strawberry, a twist of orange peel, dried herbs and a faint saline edge. The tannins are fine, the finish long and cool. Serve it around 60 degrees with roast duck, salmon or a mushroom risotto.
