Product Description
Warm red fruit, black pepper and dried herbs: that is the shorthand for southern Rhone red, and Perrin Reserve delivers it without fuss. Grenache leads, Syrah fills in the darker notes, and the fruit is drawn from across the appellation rather than one site, which keeps the wine consistent from year to year. The family behind Chateau de Beaucastel oversees it, and the pedigree shows in the balance.
Medium-bodied and dry, with raspberry, plum, licorice and a dusting of thyme. The tannins are supple enough to drink young. Open it an hour ahead, serve near 62 degrees, and pour it with lamb, grilled sausage or ratatouille.
