Product Description
Twenty years in cask changes Port entirely. The purple fades to amber, the fruit concedes to nuts and dried figs, and what emerges reads closer to something distilled from memory than to a young red. Pocas has been blending in the Douro since 1918, and the 20 Year sits at the sweet spot of the range, fully tawny yet still carrying fruit.
Walnut, dried apricot, caramel and orange peel, with a long, warm, gently sweet finish. Serve it cool, near 55 degrees, in a small glass, with almonds, hard cheese, custard desserts, or on its own at the close of an evening.
