Product Description
Chile makes some of the most reliably well-priced red wine in the world, and Primus demonstrates why. The blend leans on Carmenere, the grape Chile reclaimed after Bordeaux gave up on it, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller portions of Merlot and Syrah. The result is plusher than a Bordeaux and considerably more structured than a supermarket red.
Black plum, blueberry and mocha, with the distinctive green peppercorn lift that Carmenere brings, smooth tannins and a long finish. Serve near 63 degrees with grilled meat, empanadas, spiced stews or a hard sheep cheese.
