Threadcount is the red blend in the Quilt family, and the name fits the thinking behind it: several varieties woven together so that no single thread dominates the pattern. Wines built this way aim at drinkability rather than at showing off one grape, which makes them unusually easy to open on a Tuesday and equally at home on a holiday table. Real polish for the money.
Expect a round, fruit-forward glass of black cherry, plum and raspberry with a sweet edge of vanilla and cocoa from oak. Tannins stay soft and the finish is smooth. Serve near 62 degrees with pizza, barbecue, burgers, or a board of hard cheese and cured meat.
