Product Description
Red blends exist because a winemaker with several grapes can build a more complete wine than any one of them manages alone, filling in the middle, softening the edges and stretching the finish. This one takes that approach and aims squarely at pleasure rather than analysis. The 2017 has settled nicely, its tannins already smoothed by time in bottle.
The glass is dark and generous: blackberry, plum and ripe cherry with vanilla, a little cocoa and a sweet whisper of oak spice. Tannins are soft and the finish round and warm. Serve near 62 degrees. Easy company for pizza, burgers, barbecue, or a plate of salami and hard cheese.
