Product Description
Coonawarra grows some of the most distinctive Cabernet in the southern hemisphere, and the Reschke family has held land on its narrow strip of red soil since long before vines were the obvious crop there. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is a faithful reading of that place: dark, structured and unmistakably regional, without the sweetness that softens so much Australian red.
Cassis and black olive sit on a frame of cedar and dried herb, with tannins that are firm rather than severe. A few years in the rack will reward you, but a decanter closes most of that gap tonight. Best with rare lamb, aged cheddar or a proper Sunday roast.
