Product Description
Ridge Vineyards has spent more than half a century proving that California can make wine of genuine restraint, and Lytton Springs in Dry Creek Valley is one of its cornerstone Sonoma sites. Petite Sirah from these old plantings is the dark, brooding counterpoint to the estate's better-known Zinfandel, and bottlings like this appear in small quantities and rarely linger.
Inky and dense, with blueberry, black plum, dried violet and a graphite edge, wrapped in substantial but well-integrated tannin. Decant it for an hour, or lay it down for several years. Serve with smoked brisket, venison, braised oxtail or a hard aged cheese.
