Product Description
Dark cherry, dried fig and a dusting of Mediterranean herb: Nero d'Avola tastes unmistakably of the island it comes from. It is Sicily's most planted red grape, capable of real depth, and it has quietly become one of the better value propositions in Italian wine. Roccaperciata makes an honest, unfussy version.
Medium to full in body, with ripe black fruit, a savory olive note and moderate, well-behaved tannin. Serve it at cool room temperature. A strong partner for lamb, eggplant parmesan, sausage, hard cheese and tomato-based pasta, and better with grilled food than most reds at this price.
