Product Description
Golden apple, lemon curd and a light touch of toast, in the California Chardonnay style that made the grape a household name. Rodney Strong keeps its version balanced rather than buttery, using oak as a seam instead of a coat of paint. That restraint is what makes it drinkable by the glass rather than merely impressive by the sip.
Medium-bodied and smooth, with ripe stone fruit, a creamy middle and a clean citrus close. Serve it chilled but not ice cold, so the texture has room to show. Excellent with roast chicken, crab, scallops, sweet corn, or pasta in a cream sauce.
