Product Description
Merlot deserves better than the reputation it picked up two decades ago, and bottles like this are the argument. Rodney Strong sources from Sonoma County, where the grape ripens fully without going soft in the middle, and the result is a red with real structure and no rough edges. Easy to like, harder to fault.
Ripe plum and black cherry with mocha, sweet spice and a little dried herb, finishing smooth over rounded tannin. Serve it slightly below room temperature. It pairs broadly: pork chops, roast vegetables, mushroom pasta, meatloaf, or a cheese board late in the evening.
