Product Description
The Russian River Valley takes fog off the Pacific most mornings, and that slow, cool ripening is why it grows some of California's finest Pinot Noir. Rodney Strong has farmed there for decades. This bottling is an accessible introduction to the appellation, with the texture and perfume that make people fall for the grape in the first place.
Red cherry, cranberry and a note of forest floor, silky through the middle with fine tannin and a long, bright finish. Serve it cool rather than at room temperature, in a wide glass. Superb with salmon, duck, roast pork, mushroom dishes or a good soft cheese.
