Lambrusco comes from Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy, where it has always been treated as an everyday table wine rather than a special occasion pour. Riunite makes the version most Americans met first.
Blackberry and cherry over a soft frothy sparkle, low in tannin, finishing clean. Drink it straight from the refrigerator. It is unusually good with cured meats, pizza, fried chicken and rich pasta, where the sweetness and bubbles cut straight through the fat.
