Product Description
San Antonio Winery has been operating in downtown Los Angeles since 1917, one of very few to survive Prohibition there, and it has stayed in the same family the whole way. The fruit wines are the approachable end of a serious operation: made in volume, sold cheaply, and aimed at people who want flavour rather than a lecture on terroir.
Peach and passion fruit share the billing here, one soft and orchard-sweet, the other sharp and tropical, and the pairing stays lively through a generous sweetness. Serve it straight from the refrigerator or over ice. Good at a barbecue, good next to spicy takeout, and good as the base of a large pitcher of summer sangria.
