Product Description
Dessert does not have to mean a fortified wine or a heavy port. Dulcis Rosso is San Silvestro's answer from Piedmont: a light, sweet, softly sparkling red meant to close a meal without weighing anybody down. The style is a regional habit rather than a marketing idea, and it has been served this way at Italian tables for a very long time.
The glass fills with black cherry, ripe plum and a hint of violet, the sweetness reads clean, and a gentle effervescence keeps the finish bright. Serve it cold, around the temperature you would give a white wine. Pair it with chocolate cake, berry tart, hazelnut biscotti, or pour it in place of a dessert course entirely.
