Product Description
Lodi grows more Zinfandel than anywhere else in California, some of it on vines planted well over a century ago, and the region has a genuine claim to being the grape's American home. Sand Point works in that tradition without charging old-vine prices, making a Zin that is ripe, spicy and immediately recognisable for what it is.
Blackberry and raspberry jam lead, followed by black pepper, cinnamon and a warming finish. The tannins are soft and the fruit is generous. Serve it at cool room temperature in a big glass. Barbecue, ribs, burgers, sausage and anything carrying smoke or spice will meet the wine halfway. Good value, and reliably so.
