Product Description
Rompope is Mexico's own cream liqueur, traditionally made by convent nuns in Puebla from egg yolks, milk, sugar, vanilla and cane spirit, and it has been part of Mexican celebrations for centuries. Santa Clara, a name long associated with Mexican dairy, bottles a version faithful to that recipe: thick, golden and unmistakably homemade in character.
The texture is custard-rich, the flavour pure vanilla and toasted egg with a gentle warmth underneath. Serve it cold in a small glass, over ice, stirred into coffee, or poured over flan or ice cream. It also makes a very good addition to a holiday punch. Keep it refrigerated once the bottle is open.
