Product Description
Chianti Classico is the original heartland between Florence and Siena, the zone first defined by grand-ducal decree in 1716 and still the benchmark for Sangiovese. A Riserva means extra time in the cellar before release, and that patience shows here as depth rather than weight: structure enough to age, acidity enough to stay lively at the table.
Sour cherry, dried herb, leather and a note of balsamic sit on firm, fine-grained tannins with a long savoury finish. Decant it for an hour and serve at cool room temperature. Bistecca, wild boar ragu, aged pecorino and roast lamb are the classic partners. It will keep improving for several years in a cool cellar.
