Product Description
Ten takes its name from the ten Pinot Noir clones planted across the Sea Smoke estate in the Sta. Rita Hills, blended together into the winery's flagship. It is the bottling that built the reputation, farmed biodynamically, made in small volume, and allocated rather than simply sold. Among California Pinot Noir, few names carry more weight.
The wine is layered: black cherry, plum, crushed violet and forest floor, with fine-grained tannin and a finish that keeps unfolding. Give it an hour in a decanter and serve at cellar temperature in large bowls. Excellent with duck breast, mushroom risotto or aged cheese, and built to age well into the next decade.
