Product Description
Siempre is a small-batch tequila house, and the anejo is where its patience shows. A stretch in oak turns the bright agave of the younger bottlings into something rounder and darker without burying it, which is the trick that separates a good anejo from a merely brown one. A fine bottle for someone graduating from mixing to sipping.
Cooked agave sits beneath vanilla, caramel and toasted oak, with a hint of dried orange and a long, gently spicy finish. Drink it neat in a copita at room temperature, no ice. If you must mix, an anejo old fashioned with an orange twist does it justice.
