Siete Decadas marks seventy years of the distillery, and it is a blanco released as a statement rather than a staple. Siete Leguas built its reputation on traditional production in the Jalisco highlands, and a commemorative bottling from a house like this is the sort of thing collectors look for while it is still on shelves.

Clear and expressive, with cooked agave, citrus, white pepper and wet stone on a long, dry finish that shows more weight than a standard blanco. Serve it neat and at room temperature; chilling or mixing would waste it. A bottle for sharing slowly with people who will notice.
