Product Description
Late harvest means the grapes hung on the vine until their sugar concentrated well past the point of dry wine, and the half bottle is the traditional format for what results. Sonoma-Cutrer applies the technique to chardonnay, the grape it knows better than any other.
Sweet and unctuous, with honeyed apricot, candied citrus peel and a bright acidity that keeps the sugar from turning heavy. Serve it cold in a small glass with blue cheese, a fruit tart, or entirely on its own as dessert. A little goes a long way, which is the point of 375 ml.
