Ripe peach with bubbles running through it is a hard thing to dislike. St. Julian makes its sparkling fruit wines in Paw Paw at Michigan's oldest winery, applying the same sweet, fruit-first approach found across the range and adding a little lift and occasion to it.
Soft peach and nectarine flavor rides gentle effervescence, sweet through the middle with a clean, quick finish. Serve it very cold in a flute or over a tumbler of ice, or top it with orange juice for a sweeter sort of mimosa. For brunches, showers and toasts that need not be solemn.
