Product Description
Stagg comes out of Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky, and it makes the distillery's case that barrel strength need not mean brute force. Bottled uncut and unfiltered in small batches, it lands well above the usual proof and rewards anyone willing to give it a minute. Strength shifts from batch to batch by design.
Dense and concentrated: dark cherry, brown sugar, cocoa and charred oak, closing long on baking spice and leather. Neat in a small glass it demands attention, while a few drops of water open it considerably. Not a mixing whiskey, though it does build a formidable Old Fashioned.
