Peach is the most Southern of fruits, and this is a Southern style of wine: sweet, fruit-driven, and made for slow sipping rather than a full glass with dinner. It sits closer to a dessert wine than to anything you would pour alongside a main course.
Ripe peach and apricot dominate, thick with sweetness, finishing warm and long. Chill it and pour a small measure. It is lovely over ice cream or pound cake, good against a sharp cheese, and pleasant on its own at the end of an evening. A bottle that goes further than its size suggests, so pour with restraint.
