Taylor ages its tawny toward the nutty, amber side of the port spectrum rather than the bold fruit side, which makes it an easy, forgiving pour that suits guests with very different tastes. The 750 ml is the everyday size.
Toffee, walnut, dried fig and a hint of citrus peel define it, with moderate sweetness and no hard edges anywhere. A small glass slightly below room temperature is the classic approach, though it takes an ice cube well. Cheesecake and salted nuts are both natural companions.
