Product Description
Roasted agave, black pepper and lime: a blanco has nothing to stand behind, and that is exactly why it is worth buying. Mascota bottles this one without any barrel time, so the character comes entirely from the plant, the cook and the still rather than from wood. It is the most direct way to find out whether you actually like tequila, and an unusually approachable price for the education.
Crisp and clean on the palate, with cooked agave sweetness, citrus peel, a mineral edge and a brisk peppery finish. Serve it lightly chilled in a small glass for sipping, or pour it into a margarita, paloma or ranch water where a blanco belongs. A practical everyday bottle rather than a special-occasion one.
