Product Description
Jesus Maria, in the Jalisco highlands, is where this spirit is actually made, at a distillery constructed for the brand rather than borrowed from someone else. Agave is roasted for days in brick ovens, distilled in small copper pots, then laid down in American oak. Small-batch is not a marketing word here so much as a description of how the place runs.
The anejo is the most reflective of the three: amber in the glass, with caramel, vanilla, baked agave, cocoa and a slow spiced fade. Drink it neat at room temperature, in a narrow glass, and give it air. A very good after-dinner spirit.
