Product Description
Garganega is the grape behind northern Italy most famous dry whites, and in careful hands it produces something far more interesting than its reputation for neutrality suggests. Low-yield vineyards and unhurried winemaking turn it from a simple quaffer into a wine with texture and a distinctly stony character. A fine choice for a white wine drinker who wants a change from Chardonnay.
Expect white flowers and ripe pear on the nose, then a dry, almost saline palate with almond, lemon peel and a long mineral finish. Serve it cool but not ice cold, in a proper glass. Very good with shellfish, risotto, fried vegetables or a simple roast fish.
