Product Description
Fourteen years is an interesting place for a single malt to land: past the youthful brightness of a twelve, not yet into the stately territory of an eighteen. The Balvenie has been distilling in Speyside since 1892 and still grows some of its own barley, malts on site and keeps a full-time coopersmith, which is rarer than it should be among the big names.
Expect the distillery honeyed signature with dried fruit, vanilla and a warm spiced sweetness, finishing long and rounded. Serve it neat in a tulip glass at room temperature, with water on the side rather than in the glass. Excellent after dinner.
