Product Description
Blaufrankisch deserves a wider audience than it has. Grown across central Europe, it makes reds that combine dark fruit with high natural acidity and a distinct peppery bite, landing somewhere between Syrah and Pinot Noir without imitating either. If you like your reds savory and lifted rather than sweet and heavy, start here.
The palate is taut and juicy: sour cherry, blackberry, cracked black pepper and a graphite edge, with fine tannin and a long, fresh finish. Serve it slightly cool, around fifteen degrees, and it will sing. Excellent with roast pork, duck, paprika-spiced stews or a charcuterie board.
