Product Description
The Edition series lets Macallan's whisky makers chase a single idea per release, and No. 6 chose the river. Built as a tribute to the Spey, the water that shaped the distillery's site and the salmon runs around it, the whisky draws on a mix of cask types and comes bottled at a higher strength than the core range.
That extra strength pays off. Green apple, pear, vanilla and honey lead, followed by cinnamon, ginger and a fresh, mineral-clean finish that runs surprisingly long. At 48.6 percent it rewards a few drops of water. Pour it neat first, then adjust to taste, and drink it somewhere you can take your time.
