Product Description
Merlot spent a decade being unfairly maligned, and bottles like this one are part of the reason the grape recovered its standing. Made in Washington State, where a long dry growing season builds ripeness without losing acidity, it delivers exactly what the name suggests: plush texture with a darker streak running underneath. Excellent value for the quality in the glass.
Soft and welcoming, with black plum, cherry, cocoa and a hint of vanilla over smooth, low-grip tannin and a clean finish. Serve at cool room temperature. It is an easy match for roast chicken, pork, meatballs, burgers or a mushroom risotto, and it needs no decanting.
