Product Description
Japan's first commercial whisky distillery, founded in 1923 in the valley outside Kyoto, produced the malt that introduced most of the world to Japanese single malt. The 12 Year remains the reference bottling — the expression against which the whole category is still measured, and one of the genuinely great single malts made anywhere. Allocation is tight and it rarely lingers on a shelf.
Elegant and layered: ripe peach and dried apricot, a thread of honey, soft coconut and incense from Mizunara oak, with a long finish that turns gently spiced. Drink it neat or with a few drops of water. A bottle for marking something.
