Product Description
Sake deserves a place next to wine on any serious shelf, and this is a good bottle to make that argument with — approachable enough for a first pour, clean enough to hold the interest of someone who already drinks it. Tozai is built for the table rather than for ceremony, which is how most sake is actually enjoyed.
Soft and gently sweet, with melon, steamed rice and a faint floral lift, finishing smooth and just off-dry. It takes either temperature well: chilled in a wine glass in warm weather, gently warmed in a small cup when it is cold out. Very good with sushi, tempura, grilled fish, dumplings or salted edamame.
