Product Description
Argentina is known for Malbec, but Mendoza grows very good Cabernet Sauvignon as well, and the Broquel line from Trapiche is one of the more consistent demonstrations of it. High-altitude vineyards and time in oak give this wine the concentration of a considerably more expensive bottle.
Firm and dark, with cassis, black plum and green peppercorn over sweet oak, cedar and a touch of mocha, closing on dry, structured tannin. Decant briefly and serve just below room temperature with grilled steak, chimichurri, short ribs or aged hard cheese. Built for a table where meat is the main event.
