Product Description
Riesling in Napa Valley is nearly a contradiction — the region made its name on Cabernet, and almost nobody plants this grape here anymore. Trefethen has kept at it for decades from estate vineyards in the Oak Knoll District, one of the cooler corners of the valley, and the result is a small cult-favorite bottling that Riesling drinkers seek out on purpose.
Dry rather than sweet, with lime blossom, white peach, green apple and a wet-stone finish held up by real acidity. Serve it cold in a white glass. Superb with Thai and Vietnamese food, crab, pork loin, or a cheese course leaning toward something washed-rind.
