The name honors three generations of the Sauza family, and the tequila inside is triple distilled — an extra pass through the still that gives the whole line its notably smooth, polished character. The anejo is the most complete expression of the range, and a steady favorite among drinkers who want properly aged tequila without a collector price.
Amber in the glass, with butterscotch, cooked agave, roasted almond and soft oak spice, finishing long and mellow. Sip it neat in a snifter or over a single large cube. It also makes an excellent aged-tequila Old Fashioned with orange peel and a dash of bitters.
