Product Description
Marsala is one of the great fortified wines of the Mediterranean, made in western Sicily and unfairly remembered by most Americans as a cooking ingredient. The dry style deserves better than a saucepan — in Sicily it is poured as an aperitif, cold, in a small glass, and it is excellent that way.
Amber-gold, with roasted nuts, dried apricot, orange rind and a dry, faintly tannic finish that carries real length. Serve it chilled before a meal, or at cool room temperature with salty cheese and olives. And yes, it is still the correct bottle for veal or chicken Marsala when that is the plan.
