Product Description
Turley is the name serious Zinfandel drinkers reach for first, a producer farming old California vineyards and bottling them with almost no cosmetic intervention. Juvenile is the young-vine cuvee, drawn from parcels not yet old enough for a single-vineyard label, which makes it the most generous and least expensive way into the house style.
It is plush without being sweet: brambly raspberry and black cherry, wild sage, a peppery snap and enough acid to keep everything lively. Pour it at cellar temperature into a big glass. Ribs, pulled pork, burgers, spiced sausage and grilled eggplant all suit it. A crowd-pleaser with a cult following standing behind it.
