Product Description
Sparkling rose usually arrives either bone dry and austere or sweet and forgettable. This one from Unshackled, the second label out of The Prisoner Wine Company, aims squarely at the middle, using California fruit to make a bubbly with actual flavor behind the fizz.
It shows red berry, pink grapefruit and a suggestion of brioche, with a fine bead and a dry, clean finish. Serve it properly cold in a flute or, better still, a white wine glass. Good with oysters, fried food, salty snacks, brunch, or any moment that calls for a pop of something. Keep one at the back of the refrigerator for good news.
