Product Description
Vietti is one of the great names of Barolo, working out of Castiglione Falletto in the heart of Piedmont. Perbacco is its Nebbiolo made outside the Barolo rules, drawn from Langhe vineyards and released younger, so you get the house hand and the grape's character without waiting a decade or paying Barolo money.
Nebbiolo shows itself fully here: sour cherry, dried rose, tar, orange peel and firm dusty tannins over bright acidity. Decant it forty minutes and serve in a large glass. Braised beef, mushroom risotto, truffle, aged Parmigiano. The magnum makes it a wine for a long table and an even longer dinner.
