Product Description
Rosso Toscano gives Tuscan winemakers room to blend outside the strict appellation rules, mixing Sangiovese with whatever else the vintage hands them. The results tend to be rounder and friendlier than a classified Chianti, and that flexibility is precisely the appeal of a bottle like this.
Look for ripe red and black cherry, a little plum, dried herbs and soft tannin, with just enough acid to keep it food-friendly. Serve it lightly cool in a wide glass. It handles pasta with meat sauce, grilled vegetables, pizza, roast pork and hard cheese without complaint. An unfussy Italian red for most nights.
