Product Description
On the Sorrentine peninsula, limoncello is made by steeping lemon peels in neutral spirit until the oils surrender their color and perfume. Villa Massa has followed that artisanal method for generations using handpicked Sorrento lemons, and the result tastes nothing like the syrupy imitations this category is full of.
It is intensely lemony and bright, sweet but cut by genuine citrus oil bitterness, with a thick, cold texture when served properly. Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour small measures neat after dinner, as they do in Campania. Also excellent over lemon sorbet, in a spritz with prosecco, or drizzled across pound cake.
