The Arborist takes its name from the trees Vina Robles plants across its Paso Robles vineyards, and the wine follows the same logic as good land stewardship, with several varieties working together rather than one carrying the load. Blending is where a winemaker's judgment shows most plainly, and this bottle is the estate's clearest expression of house style.
Red and black fruit arrive together, with vanilla, sweet spice and a supple mid-palate that makes it easy to drink young. Tannins are smooth, the finish gently warm. Open it for pizza night, burgers, roast pork or a cheese board, and expect the bottle to empty faster than you planned.
