Product Description
Double the age, and a noticeably different wine. Twenty years in cask concentrates a tawny Port and shifts it from fruit toward nuts, spice and dried citrus, with a silkiness the younger bottling cannot reach. Warre's puts it in the same elegant clear 500 ml Otima bottle, which remains one of the best-looking things in the category.
Butterscotch, toasted almond, candied orange and fig, with fine sweetness and a remarkably long, dry-edged finish. Serve it lightly chilled in a small glass and drink it slowly. Pair it with walnuts, aged cheese or dark chocolate, or treat it as dessert on its own. A worthwhile step up for a special table.
