Product Description
Single barrel is where the Weller line gets specific. Rather than blending hundreds of barrels toward a house average, Buffalo Trace bottles selected casks individually, so each one carries the particular character of its own warehouse position. At 97 proof it sits above the standard releases in strength and, most drinkers agree, in depth.
Expect the wheated softness intact but concentrated: dark caramel, vanilla bean, dried cherry and a good measure of toasted oak, with a warm cinnamon finish. Drink it neat first, then add a drop of water and taste again. A whiskey for slow evenings and side-by-side comparisons.
